When Max Hugo Moebius was born on 7 April 1887, in Leuben, Kreis Meißen, Saxony, Germany, his father, Heinrich Moebius, was 41 and his mother, Therese Klemm, was 36. He married Paulina Minna Cieslak on 12 March 1910. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 16 January 1960, at the age of 72.
