Elisabeth Stoll was born on 5 March 1820, in Rüschegg, Bern, Switzerland as the daughter of Hans Stoll. She married Ulrich Schmied on 3 June 1842, in Guggisberg, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 16 January 1854, at the age of 33, and was buried in Rüschegg, Guggisberg, Bern, Switzerland.
