When Knud Christan Langballe was born in January 1725, in Århus, Denmark, his father, Niels Sørensen Langballe, was 37 and his mother, Vita Nikkelsdatter Seidelin, was 41. He died on 26 June 1771, in Rodsteenseje, Odder, Århus, Denmark, at the age of 46.
