He married Christiana Charlotte Amalia von Bassen on 25 May 1723, in Bedsted, Hassing, Thisted, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 22 February 1736, in Bedsted, Vestervig, Denmark, at the age of 42.
