When Mans Nilsson was born in 1634, in Västra Ed, Kalmar, Sweden, his father, Nils Nilsson, was 34 and his mother, Ingeborg Bravedsdotter, was 29. He married Ingefred Persson in 1661, in Hulta, Kalmar, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 24 September 1705, at the age of 71, and was buried in Västra Ed, Kalmar, Sweden.
