When Dr. Henry Schnebly was born on 7 December 1728, in Affoltern am Albis, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Heinrich Schneebeli, was 37 and his mother, Barbara Zimmermann, was 40. He married Elizabeth Schaefer on 6 February 1753. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 24 July 1805, in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland, United States, at the age of 76, and was buried in Zion Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery, Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland, United States.
