When Asaph Parmelee was born on 2 April 1746, in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut, United States, his father, Jonathan Parmelee, was 44 and his mother, Sarah Taylor, was 38. He married Sarah Everitt on 21 November 1769. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 24 October 1834, in Bristol, Addison, Vermont, United States, at the age of 88, and was buried in Starksboro Village Cemetery, Starksboro, Addison, Vermont, United States.
