He married Laura Geer in 1826, in Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He lived in Summit, Ohio, United States in 1860. He died on 23 May 1873, in Twinsburg, Summit, Ohio, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Mentor Municipal Cemetery, Mentor, Lake, Ohio, United States.
