When Rudolf Baumann was born on 13 April 1815, in Wädenswil, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Hans KASPAR Baumann, was 29 and his mother, Susanna Pfister, was 25. He married Anna Katherina Gräeflein on 9 October 1836, in Steckborn, Thurgau, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 7 daughters. He died on 14 August 1875, in Switzerland, at the age of 60, and was buried in Switzerland.
