When Gunilla Thuresdotter was born on 14 November 1801, in Malmöhus, Sweden, her father, Thure Gudmundson, was 37 and her mother, Bengta Nilsdotter, was 40. She married Sven Sjunnesson on 20 February 1829, in Norrvidinge, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 15 January 1881, in Östra Sallerup, Frosta, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 79.
