He lived in Kamouraska, Quebec, Canada in 1881 and Hochelaga, Quebec, Canada in 1901. He died on 23 January 1950, in Saint-Éleuthère, Pohénégamook, Témiscouata, Quebec, Canada, at the age of 93.
