When Inger Poulsdatter was born in 1788, in Horne, Åstrup, Denmark, her father, Poul Pedersen, was 39 and her mother, Ingaborg Nielsdatter, was 37. She married Christen Hansen on 1 October 1820. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 18 May 1828, in her hometown, at the age of 40, and was buried in Horne, Åstrup, Denmark.
