He lived in Benton, Benton, Iowa, United States in 1850 and Waterloo Township, Black Hawk, Iowa, United States in 1860. He registered for military service in 1862. He died on 19 September 1868, in Black Hawk, Gilpin, Colorado, United States, at the age of 43.
