Davis Hix Sr. was born in 1775, in North Carolina, British Colonial America as the son of Henry Hix. He married Rebecca Loflin about 1795. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 7 daughters. He died on 28 May 1846, in Randolph, Alabama, United States, at the age of 71.
