Johannes Larsen Dybbugt was born in 1846, in Bremsnes, Averøy, Møre og Romsdal, Norway as the son of Lars Andersen. He married Randi Maria Samuelsdatter Møkkelbostad on 8 July 1873, in Bremsnes, Averøy, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 19 December 1883, at the age of 37.
