He married Marita Larsen in 1709, in Kvinnherad, Hordaland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 8 September 1760, in his hometown, at the age of 79.

    1n 1700 Norway changed from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar. The day after 18 Feb in the Julian Calendar became 1 March in the Gregorian calendar.

    1736 · Confirmation & education
