When Elisabeth Jordi was born on 21 May 1827, in Switzerland, her father, Christen Jordi, was 36 and her mother, Elisabeth Aeschlimann, was 27. She married Christian Scheidegger on 20 August 1852. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 10 June 1871, at the age of 44.
