When John G. Burbank was born on 11 February 1827, in Danville, Les Sources, Quebec, Canada, his father, Captain Abijah Burbank, was 26 and his mother, Mary Willey, was 28. He married Lydia M. Stout on 12 May 1851. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Ohio, United States in 1870. He died on 22 October 1884, in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio, United States, at the age of 57.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening
Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
