When Johan Magnus Leisner was born about 1721, in Öved, Färs, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Magnus Jacobsson Dejsin, was 29 and his mother, Ellna or Helena Svensson, was 27. He married Anna Stina Djurbeck on 30 March 1749. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 11 June 1800, in his hometown, at the age of 80.
