When Nilla Tykesdotter was born on 29 October 1796, in Annelöf, Onsjö härad, Malmöhus, Sweden, her father, Tyke Nilsson, was 44 and her mother, Margareta Nilsdotter, was 21. She married Asser Nilsson on 11 April 1823. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 10 March 1861, at the age of 64.
