When Abigail Burbank was born on 2 February 1771, in Peacham, Caledonia, Vermont, United States, her father, Gershom Burbank, was 36 and her mother, Anna Pearson, was 32. She married Eleazer Burbank on 13 March 1792, in Grafton, New Hampshire, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 7 daughters. She died on 26 March 1833, at the age of 62, and was buried in Castlebar Cemetery, Castlebar, Danville, Les Sources, Quebec, Canada.
