When Takua Pulu was born about 1868, in Mataika, Vava'u, Tonga, her father, Sione Pulu, was 57 and her mother, Manu, was 24. She married 'Usaia Fifita in 1925, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 1 daughter. She died in Utulei, Vava'u, Tonga, and was buried in Utui, Vava'u, Tonga.
