Brief Life History of Phineas

When Phineas Bates was born on 26 July 1749, in Coginchaug, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Stephen Bates, was 27 and his mother, Lois Bishop, was 20. He married Esther Curtiss on 5 December 1771. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He registered for military service in 1840. He died in 1829, in Town of Canandaigua, Ontario, New York, United States, at the age of 80.
