When Jons Nilsson was born on 21 March 1784, in Billinge, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Nils Åkasson, was 46 and his mother, Marna Olsdotter, was 42. He married Bengta Larsdotter on 13 November 1807, in Billinge, Onsjö, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 17 April 1855, at the age of 71.
