When George Stovall was born about 1784, in Halifax, Virginia, United States, his father, Bartholomew Stovall Sr, was 48 and his mother, Susannah Owen, was 53. He married Sarah Elizabeth Hibbs on 21 September 1809, in Hardin, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He died in 1850, in Warren, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 67.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.

1788 · Becomes the 10th state

On June 25, 1788 Virginia became the 10th state.
