George Stovall

Brief Life History of George

George Stovall was born about 1784, in Halifax, Virginia, United States as the son of Bartholomew Stovall. He married Sarah Elizabeth Hibbs on 21 September 1809, in Hardin, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He died in 1850, in Warren, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 67.

1788 · Becomes the 10th state

On June 25, 1788 Virginia became the 10th state. 

1801 · Cane Ridge Revival

The Cane Ridge Revival took place for six days in Cane Ridge, Kentucky. From August 6, 1801- August 12 or 13, 1801, around 20 thousand people gathered together for what was called the Second Great Awakening.
