When Martha Stiglar was born in 1765, in Virginia, United States, her father, Benjamin Stigler, was 24 and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Hall, was 23. She married Daniel James Routt on 6 September 1788, in Fauquier, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 13 August 1848, at the age of 83, and was buried in Kentucky, United States.
