Ngei Malinive was born on 16 August 1902, in Samoa as the daughter of Uili Tapu and Vaitai Fue. She married Sosaia 'Uluenga in 1924. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. She died on 25 October 1975, at the age of 73.

    Name Meaning

    Indian (Uttarakhand): Kshatriya name from Hindi nek ‘righteous’.

    Japanese: usually written phonetically 根木 ‘root’ and ‘tree’, the name could simply mean ‘leek’. Several other rare, phonetic renderings are found in various locations.
